The countdown to kickoff has officially begun as Jacksonville Athletic Academy (JAA) gears up for the 2025 Independent Collegiate Athletic Association (ICAA) football season. With the ultimate goal of punching a ticket to Savannah, Georgia for the ICAA National Championship at historic Memorial Stadium, the energy on campus is electric.
Head Coach Nolan Carroll, a former NFL veteran, is leading this year's campaign with a sharpened vision and a relentless mindset.
“This season is about identity,” Coach Carroll stated. “We’re committed to being the most physical, prepared, and mentally tough team in the ICAA. Every rep matters. Every game matters. The road to Savannah starts now.”
JAA enters the season with seasoned leadership and elevated expectations. Second-year starting quarterback Wyatt Lagow returns to the helm, bringing poise and experience to the offensive huddle. At 6'0", Lagow is determined to lead the Mocs deep into the postseason.
“We’ve been grinding since December,” said Lagow. “This team is built different. We’ve got the pieces, the playmakers, and the passion to make a real championship run.”
Offensive Coordinator Kenneth Mudge has designed a balanced, high-efficiency attack built for ICAA competition. From uptempo sets to clock-controlling drives, the JAA offense is locked in.
“Our goal isn’t just to move the chains—we want to control the clock, control the tempo, and wear teams down,” Mudge explained. “This offense is explosive and ready to dominate.”
With the 2025 ICAA schedule featuring tough matchups across the Southeast, every game counts on the road to the ICAA National Championship in Savannah. The JAA Moccasins aren’t just playing for wins—they’re playing for legacy.
